Winter Special - Lasan nu kachu - by bela 

Green Garlic
 boiled potatoes - 4 (medium sized)
 lilu lasan - 250 gms.
malai (fresh cream) - 1/2 cup
milk - 1/2 cup
Ginger - chilly - garlic  paste - 1 tbsp.
Edible oil (sesame)  - 4 table spoons
salt - as per taste


  1. Mash the potatoes.
  2. Clean and chop the green garlic into very fine pieces and mix it with potatoes.
  3. Add cream, milk, ginger garlic and chilly paste.
  4. Then add oil, salt and mix it properly.
  5. Beat it thoroughly using our hand for 10 - 15 minutes.
  6. Then when it becomes light it is ready to eat.
  7. Serve with jowar rotla or bread.
  8. Add 1 teaspoon oil while eating.
  9. Authentic surti cuisine....calorie conscious people will hesitate but it has many health benifits and helps retain heat in the body...Please do try...
